Live alone or share with a friend
Several of the apartments are adapted for a new and growing target group – shared tenancy. The similarity with traditional corridor living is clear. The focus of these apartments is on the bedroom, which has been developed to manage both sleeping and studying, as well as taking care of visitors. The bedrooms in these two-roomers are of very similar size, around 10 q m. The common functions for the hall, kitchen and bathroom are collected together in a restricted but effective part of the apartment. The result is Shared apartments for primarily two persons, but also a few for three or four friends. Common to all apartments at Spolegatan 15 is that one is a tenant and the others are intrinsic.
Eleven different types
All together, Nya Magasinet offers no less than eleven different types of apartment. The 13 split-level-apartments with a sleeping loft under the sloping roof on the seventh floor offer what must be the most exciting layout solution.
Other areas
The other areas in the building provide common balconies, storage areas and laundries. At ground level there is also a large internal cycle park with a personal cycle rack for each inhabitant of the building. The area between the buildings will be developed into a pleasant outdoor environment with, as is normal with student accommodation, an outdoor grill.
