Rent
AFB Bostäder has replaced the former paper rent bills with digital bills and a reminder by e-mail when it is time to pay your rent. Your rent bill with the amount payable and OCR-number will be found on our home page after logging in. The details will be shown after the moving-in date.
Your rent payment shall be made before the 1th of each month according to the tenancy agreement. Failure to pay or delay in payment of rent could lead to you losing your accommodation and/or forfeiting your place in our queue. You should get in contact with Customer Service Centre if you are aware of odd occasions when you might have difficulty in paying your rent (on time).
It is preferable if you can pay your rent by using an E invoice or Autogiro. For more information read more under My contract/My rent.
Moving in day
Moving in normally takes place on the first weekday of the month from 1400. If the 1st falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the key can be collected on the weekday immediately following. If it is possible to move in earlier, AFB will contact you via e-mail.
To take over furniture and other furnishings
If you have agreed with the outgoing tenant on taking over furniture or other furnishings, we request that you submit a signed agreement to The Customer Service Centre no later than three working days before the moving in date. If the agreement is not available the furniture /furnishings will be removed at 12.00 on the moving in day.
Keys
Keys for residences may be collected from our Customer Service Centre. Please remember to bring valid ID. Note! Never accept any keys from the tenant moving out. For your own security AF Bostäder always checks that the correct numbers of keys are handed back by the tenant moving out.
Power of attorney
If you want someone else to pick up your keys for you, you need to send a power of attorney by post, e-mail with attached scanned power of attorney, or fax. The representative must produce an ID when collecting the keys. Download a form for power of attorney here. (PDF)
Change of locks
For the security and safety of our customers, we always change the lock cylinder when a residence key is lost. Be careful with your keys. Loss of keys or tags will always be charged to the contract holder. Changing locks, including keys, costs in the region of SEK 1 200*, and loss of tags costs SEK 200*. If you lose a key or a tag, you should immediately report it to the Customer Service Centre.

Removal vehicles
For better living comfort and residential environment, vehicular traffic is not permitted in residential areas. However, during moving activities, temporary vehicle access for loading and unloading is permitted. You must not leave your vehicle unattended for more than 10 minutes. Note however that you may never at any time park on a fire escape route.
Inspection of residences
To ensure good condition, all of our residences are inspected when tenants move out. Inspection is an objective assessment, the object of which is to document faults and deficiencies. The result can be found in the survey data available on the website when you login. Sometimes a form "Actions after inspection" is left in the apartment. If you find a ticked box next to "The following problems/deficiencies to be remedied," it is important that you sign, date and return the documents to us as soon as possible. Do not forget to give us permission to go in with the service key to correct the deficiencies. Then you don’t have to be home when we arrive.
Pets
Pets are pleasant company, but because of allergies it is not permitted to have pets in corridor rooms.
Double occupation
Corridor rooms are rented for single occupation only and you are not permitted to have anybody living with you permanently. Occasional overnight guests are, of course, permitted.
