General about negotiations
AF-Bostäder Foundation has an agreement with the Tenants Association in southern Scania for negotiation in matters concerning rents, rental conditions, and accommodation conditions. Normally, rental negotiations take place once a year and your rent is adjusted at the same time.
In negotiations, the Tenants Association represents you as a tenant whether or not you are a member of it.
In the event that AF-Bostäder and the Tenants Association disagree, the Rent Market Committee makes the decision regarding your rent. This has never occurred so far.
9 or 12 months payment
For corridor rooms, June, July and August are usually rent-free; this is known as nine-month rental. Any exceptions will be given in the rental agreement. Note! If the tenancy begins during the summer months you pay rent for one of these in the first year.
For apartments, 12 months rent generally applies, but miner apartments (one room with a kitchenette) with 9 moths rent may occur.
