The students have moved into Marathon
Now the first students have moved into the newly built Marathon! The high-rise building on Tunavägen 33 opened its doors to the students today and we had the privilege of welcoming just over 100 Lund students to their new accommodation.
The rain clouds were low over Lund this day in August when the first Lund students moved into Marathon. The first building that became ready for occupancy is the eight-storey building, the highest building in the housing area. The upper floors provide magnificent views of Lund, all the way to Öresundsbron.
At the entrance, visitors are welcomed by artist CO Hultén's beautiful facade mosaic, preserved from the building that was previously here. A colorful element on the brick red facade.
In the courtyard there are bicycle racks with durum roofs and marked bicycle spaces for the residents.
The outdoor environment is still being fixed and final measures are being carried out in the area. Moving in takes place in stages and in about one month all residents have moved in.
Welcome to Marathon!
