Newly renovated at Tomegapsgården

October 19, 2021

In the summer of 2020, we renovated the corridor accommodation at Tomegapsgatan 15 in retro style and this summer it was time for house 13. Now the students can enjoy the newly renovated corridor kitchens, corridors, stairwells, and entrances.

Tomegapsgården is our smallest and oldest student housing area centrally located in the middle of Lund's cultural district. The two street houses, which were completed in 1952, contain 34 corridor rooms and 17 one-room apartments. In the summer of 2020 and 2021, the houses have undergone an extensive interior renovation. We wanted to preserve and refine the attributes of the buildings, which landed in a classic 50s style.

The stairwell has been given a wooden panel, period details have been preserved and each corridor and corridor kitchen has been given its own retro-inspired color scheme in pink, blue and turquoise. The decor in the common areas is recycled furniture in the 50s style.

Thanks to the students for their patience during the renovation and hope that you will enjoy the new nice home environment.
