Now the first students have moved into the newly built Marathon! The high-rise building on Tunavägen 33 opened its doors to the students today and we had the privilege of welcoming just over 100 Lund students to their new accommodation.
The new students at Lund University, so-called novisch, got their letter of acceptance last week. More than 2,400 of these have now signed up in AF Bostäder's novisch housing queue, which gives priority to about 700 student housing in Lund.
Now we have completed the lottery of queue times for new students at Lund University (novisch) who registered in AF Bostäder's housing queue 11-14 July.

One year passes so fast, and now it's time for the residence representative (shortened "bomb") autumn 2018/spring 2019 to complete her mission. But, before leaving the post, she had time to answer a few quick questions.
In 2015, an extensive renovation of the four-leaf clover houses at Gylleholm started, and now - four years later - we can enjoy 48 newly renovated one-room apartments with modern kitchens and beautiful cedar facades.
AF Bostäder and the Swedish Union of Tenants (Hyresgästföreningen) have negotiated a new rent-setting agreement, which applies from 1 July 2019. The new model is based on the tenants’ appraisal of their housing.
Finally, all smart, happy, wild and wonderful students have moved in to the new student housing areas Proto and Sagoeken. We have been longing for you!
AF Bostäder is now offering all its customers a smoke-free living environment. From the beginning of May 2019 onwards, smoking is banned indoors – this applies both to the students’ accommodation and the shared spaces. The tenants can look forward to fresher indoor air and healthier housing.
It has become an annual tradition to offer a large number of students the chance to take part in Lundaloppet. An initiative that is appreciated and the 500 free start numbers ran out within 26 hours!
AF Bostäder’s major rebuilding project in the Kämnärsrätten student housing area is in full swing. Kämnärsrätten is being transformed from an homogeneous 1960s area into a dynamic campus environment.
Every year, AF Bostäder and the student housing sector carry out a customer survey in which customers can express their views on their accommodation and landlords. Also this year we were extremely pleased to get an even better results than before!
During this spring corridor contact meetings, each corridor gets a completely new vacuum cleaner! This to facilitate the corridor cleaning for the residents.

AF Bostäder is to introduce vegan student housing. First up is Vegalyckan, which is now to become Sweden’s first totally meat-free student housing – Veganlyckan. Tenants will be offered a 4-week transition programme with coaching on consumption patterns and greener cooking. Those who choose not to take part will be given priority for alternative housing.
The interest has been great and now is the time. On April 2, we start to rent out the 256 newly built student apartments at Marathon!
