2025 gingerbread house competition
Here are the winners of this year’s gingerbread house competition! A big congratulations to Delphi 55 L 1213–1224, who take home first prize with their spectacular creation, “Gingerbread Millennium Falcon”! (Top image shows the winning entry.)
🥇 First prize: “Gingerbread Millennium Falcon”
Corridor: Delphi 55 L 1213–1224
Corridor’s description:
“The dream of building a Millennium Falcon is one we share with many other enthusiasts out there. As students, we’re just poor enough to not afford a real Falcon or even Lego, so we took matters into our own hands, bought some gingerbread dough, opened CAD and started creating. After about 12 hours, the eighth wonder of the world was complete – a 1:10 replica of everyone’s favourite ship, the Millennium Falcon.”
🥈 Second prize: “Ribersborgs Kallbadhus in Malmö”
Corridor: Vildanden 11 A 1408–1422
The corridor has recreated the Ribersborg cold bath house in Malmö with impressive precision, every detail is in place. As the finishing touch, a few gingerbread figures are happily “swimming in the water”
🥉 Third prize: “Our Home”
Corridor: Delphi 55 H 1113–1124
Corridor’s description:
“Our gingerbread house represents our shared space, including both the kitchen and living room. We’ve used the texture of the gingerbread as tiles on both the floor and wall, and also as grooves for the shelves above the kitchen counter. Marshmallows serve as cushions on the sofa, along with our emoji pillow and TV. At the dining table, one person is eating a slice of pizza while another is watching TV from the sofa.”
