Broadband and Wi-Fi
Fast broadband from Bredband2 with speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s is included in your rent. Your internet connection is ready to use when you move in. You can connect your computer directly using an Ethernet cable. If you want to use Wi-Fi, you’ll need your own router.
Get started with your broadband
Option 1: Connect using an Ethernet cable
- Connect an Ethernet cable between your computer and the network socket in your home. Use the left-hand or upper socket.
- Check that your internet connection works.
Option 2: Connect wirelessly using Wi-Fi
- Get your own router with Wi-Fi.
- Connect an Ethernet cable between the router’s internet port (WAN) and the network socket in your home. Use the left-hand or upper socket.
- Follow the router’s instructions to set up your Wi-Fi.
- Connect your phone, computer or other devices to your Wi-Fi network.
Good to know
- You need your own router for Wi-Fi. Broadband is included in your rent, but you’ll need to get your own router if you want to connect wirelessly.
- Speeds are up to 1 Gbit/s. To achieve the highest speeds, you need to connect using an Ethernet cable. Your router can also affect your connection speed.
- You can connect several devices. One IP address is included per network socket. With a router, several devices can share the same internet connection.
- Use as much data as you like. There are no data limits, and your connection speed will not be reduced after you have used a certain amount of data.

Before contacting them, connect your computer directly to the network socket using an Ethernet cable. If you use a router, disconnect it first. Bredband2 can only troubleshoot your connection when your computer is connected directly to the network socket.
