Window replacement at Sparta
AF Bostäder is replacing the windows at Sparta. The new windows are more energy efficient and provide a better indoor climate for students. Here you can find more information about the schedule, what the work involves and how we work to minimise disruption for residents.
Schedule
The window replacement at Tunavägen 39 G will take place from 1 June to 10 July 2026. The work will be carried out corridor by corridor and is expected to take approximately one week per corridor.
Scope
- All windows in the corridor rooms and the shared corridor kitchen will be replaced.
- As part of the window replacement, we will also carry out PCB and asbestos remediation.
Disruptions
Certain work activities may be noisy, especially at the beginning of the week. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding the temporary inconveniences this may cause and assure you that we are working to minimize disruptions as much as possible.
Project background
Sparta was built in the 1970s, which means the windows are now over 50 years old. Recently, we have received complaints from the students regarding the indoor climate and drafts from the windows. To address these issues and improve the quality of living, we will install new windows. The new windows are energy-efficient and will result in significant energy savings, while improving the indoor climate and reducing drafts.
