AF Bostäder is Sweden’s Most Cycle-Friendly Workplace, again!
AF Bostäder has once again been named Cycle-Friendly Workplace of the Year in the medium-sized company category for 2025. We are both proud and delighted to receive the award again.
The award is given by Cykelvänligast to workplaces that fulfil the most criteria for creating a genuinely cycle-friendly environment. AF Bostäder has taken part in the competition since 2022 – which was also the last time we won.
Jury’s Motivation:
“With a travel policy stating that all trips under 5 kilometers should be made by bike, along with access to electric bikes, cargo bikes, and indoor parking facilities, AF Bostäder makes cycling both smooth and natural for employees. Through wellness initiatives that encourage physical activity for both employees and customers – from mountain biking tours to bike maintenance services – AF Bostäder demonstrates how encouragement, community, and engagement can inspire more people to cycle to, from, and during work.”
Over the past seven years, we have worked purposefully to strengthen the cycling culture internally and among the tenants as part of our sustainability efforts. By offering strong conditions for cycle commuting and cycling during working hours, we make it easy for our employees to choose the bike over the car, something that promotes wellbeing and reduces climate impact. Throughout the years, we have organised on-site bicycle servicing, arranged cycling excursions, and offered mountain biking and spinning as part of our wellbeing programme. Our bicycle storage facility provides employees with the opportunity to borrow company bikes, safely park their own bicycles and carry out simple repairs. Together, these efforts form a whole that has helped make cycling a natural part of everyday life.
We are proud of our employees’ engagement and look forward to continuing to develop our work to become an even more cycle-friendly workplace in the future.
