Booking a laundry time

You can book laundry time via the website from the day your contract begins.

If you move in earlier, you can book a laundry time using your key tag on the booking board located near your laundry room.

If you temporarily have two contracts with AF Bostäder, the following applies:

• For your terminated contract, you can book laundry times via both the website and the booking board.
• For your new contract, you can book via the booking board until your previous contract has ended.
• Remember to use the correct key tag for the correct booking.

Residents at Park, Kämnärsvägen 71 cannot book laundry times online.

Laundry rooms where detergent is included

In most laundry rooms, detergent is automatically dispensed by the washing machine. This means you do not need to bring your own detergent.

The machine adjusts the amount of detergent according to how much laundry is in the drum. This ensures:

• the correct amount of detergent is used
• washing machines last longer
• environmental impact is reduced

On the machine, simply choose whether you are washing coloured laundry or whites.

Laundry rooms where you use your own detergent

In some smaller laundry rooms, you need to bring your own detergent.

This applies to:

• Bokompakt (HWC) – Kämnärsvägen 100–106
• Delphi – Magistratsvägen 57
• Park – Kämnärsvägen 71

Please remember to:

• use eco-labelled detergent
• dose for soft water according to the instructions on the packaging
• note that fabric softener is not allowed in the laundry rooms 

Detergent-free laundry rooms

In the laundry rooms at Ällingavägen 14 and 16 (Vildanden), washing is done without detergent.

Inside the washing machine, ordinary tap water is purified into ultra-pure water that cleans effectively and is allergy-friendly.

Benefits include:

• no detergent or fabric softener is used
• shorter washing time (about 15–20 minutes)
• lower energy consumption
• no emissions into lakes and seas

When you remove the laundry from the machine, it may smell slightly of wet fabric. Once the laundry has dried, it will smell fresh again.

Tips for environmentally friendly laundry

• Pre-treat stains using gall soap, vinegar or an environmentally friendly stain remover
• Air clothes that are not dirty instead of washing them
• Wash full loads
• Wash at lower temperatures
• Air dry whenever possible

Why does the same wash programme take different amounts of time?

Modern washing machines adjust the washing time depending on several factors, such as:

• how cold the incoming water is
• how much laundry is in the machine
• how previous wash cycles have run

For this reason, the same programme may sometimes take different amounts of time.
